For Sale! “Sydney” – Healthy Adult English Golden Dam

Sydney is one of our “granddogs.” We produced her mother Heidi from the one of our best English Goldens litters: International Ch. Anna  & International Ch. Max. Both Anna, Max and the mother Heidi scored in the top 4% of Golden Retrievers on their hip, elbow, eye and heart tests. It was no surprise when all of her pups scored as high as we have ever seen. In fact, Sydney scored in the top 4% of Golden Retrievers. 

We were blessed to have a few litters with Sydney. Unfortunately she required c-sections and we decided to retire her early. We decided early on to rehome every one of our adults when they retire. She is very healthy and hopefully will live 13-16 years of age. Sydney is perfectly healthy and absolutely beautiful. She isn’t perfect though. She has always not been a dog that’s gotten along with our other dogs. It’s probably the only bad thing about having a breeding facility. It is natural for there to be “alphas” and Sydney has been that. She is spayed and has been doing much better over the last 2 months than before. We do not recommend though that she go home to a family with another female dog (especially if not spayed). There is a chance she will want to be the dominant girl in the house. She will probably do very well with a boy.  She also is extremely intelligent and sometimes to a fault. She knows how to open a regular crate, climb fences and get to where she wants. We recommend buying an “indestructible crate” we suggest and when you are not home putting her in there. She doesn’t love the crate but will go in it.  

The good is that Sydney is very healthy, beautiful and sweet. The good is that she is very confident and not fearful and timid. The good is that she is loving and sweet and with the right family will do exceptionally well. She just wouldn’t do well with other animals and a family that’s too trusting and would want to leave her alone in the house for a day. It will take time and training to get to that point. She’s a beautiful girl that currently weighs 64 lbs and is absolutely stunning.
